Margo Taft Stever

Margo Taft Stever's chapbook, The Lunatic Ball, is forthcoming from Kattywompus Press. Her other collections include the chapbook, The Hudson Line, (Main Street Rag, 2012); Frozen Spring, winner of the Mid-List Press First Series Award for Poetry, 2002; and Reading the Night Sky with a foreword by Denise Levertov, the 1996 winner of the Riverstone Press Poetry Chapbook Contest.

She created "Looking East," a photography exhibition, and coauthored Looking East: William Howard Taft and the 1905 U.S. Diplomatic Mission to Asia, The Photographs of Harry Fowler Woods (Zhejiang University Press, 2012). The University of Cincinnati and Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, are currently collaborating on the publication of an English language version of Looking East, which will be published in 2015.

Stever's poems, essays, and reviews have appeared in Salamander, Blackbird, Prairie Schooner, Rattapallax, The Webster Review, The New England Review, The Seattle Review, West Branch, Poetry Now, Poet Lore, No More Masks, and elsewhere. She is the founder of The Hudson Valley Writers Center, for which she was director and chairperson for over twelve years.
