Susan Jackson Rodgers was born in New York City and grew up in Connecticut. She earned her B.A. from Bowdoin College, her M.A. from Kansas State University, and her M.F.A. from Bennington College.
Her stories have appeared in StoryQuarterly, Willow Review, Beloit Fiction Journal, and Prairie Schooner.
She has received a Kansas Arts Commission Fellowship in Fiction, and in 2002 won the Lorian Hemingway Short Story Competition. She is an assistant professor teaching creative writing at Kansas State University and lives in Manhattan, Kansas, with her husband and three children.
